The Production Department establishes Egypt’s crude oil production main policies. It sets up drilling and oil production plans for the fiscal year, and works hand in hand with joint ventures to achieve these plans and to reach maximum oil production rates as this has a great impact on Egypt’s Economy.
The production plan includes all the activities that ensure achieving its goals represented in: well drilling, completion and workover operations, putting wells into operation, wells surveillance, and reservoir management to obtain the maximum recovery. It also includes oil processing before it is shipped to refinery plants.
In addition, the Production Department adopts state-of-the-art technologies related to crude oil production and works on implementing them in Egyptian companies in partnership with national and international technical companies specialized in oil industry.
