At EGPC Health , Safety & Environment (HSE) includes Environmental Conservation and protection , sustainable development , occupational health , Safety , Oil Spill and emergency response preparedness and management , and HSE management systems   .

The HSE department in EGPC make the supervision on the petroleum companies belonging to EGPC to ensure that the HSE management systems and procedures in these companies are implemented in full compliance with the local laws and regulations and according to the internationally accepted standards

Capacity Building for the preservation of the aquatic environment
EGPC is committed to comply with the Egyptian Environment Law No (4) at 1994 that modified with the law No (9) at 2009 and oil spill combating conventions ratified by Egypt including OPRC 90 convention .
